The Wild Animal Sanctuary

The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, Colorado, rescues and rehabilitates large exotic carnivores (like lions, tigers, and bears). This is a hands-on, serious commitment. To become a dedicated volunteer helping with animal care and facility maintenance, individuals must be at least 16 years old and commit to working a minimum of two days per month. The Sanctuary also encourages younger students to get involved by organizing school group visits, fundraising, and adopting animals to support the rescue mission.
