Welcome to STAND’S Youth Advocacy Network
The STAND Advocacy Network is a national initiative designed to connect students with legislative staff and policy professionals in a collaborative, discussion-based environment focused on real-world policy impact. Rather than a one-directional program, the network is built on mutual exchange — creating space for both experienced professionals and student advocates to learn from one another. The program is completely virtual, open to youth contribution nationwide.
Through ongoing conversations, workshops, and engagement opportunities, students gain insight into how policy is developed, communicated, and implemented at the legislative level. At the same time, legislative staff and policy professionals have expressed a strong interest in hearing youth perspectives, understanding emerging priorities, and engaging with the next generation of advocates who are directly impacted by today’s policy decisions.
The network emphasizes informed dialogue, critical thinking, and practical exposure to policymaking processes. Students are encouraged to bring forward their ideas, research, and perspectives, while also developing a deeper understanding of how to engage effectively and constructively within policy spaces.
Open to students across the United States, the STAND Advocacy Network aims to bridge the gap between youth advocacy and professional policymaking by fostering connections that are both educational and impactful. By creating opportunities for direct engagement, the network helps students move beyond theoretical interest and into meaningful participation in the policy landscape.
