Heartwood Haven Animal Sanctuary

Heartwood Haven volunteers help rescued farmed animals by feeding, watering, cleaning, and providing enrichment like walks and belly rubs, alongside physical tasks like building fences, clearing brush, and gardening for animal snacks. Volunteers work outdoors in all weather, wear sturdy clothes, and might assist with events or admin, all while supporting the sanctuary's mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and educate about abused/neglected farm animals. They additionally sponsor volunteers with the LEAP program, a youth volunteering and service group focused on making change for animals and sanctuaries.
